I like this post and also have some good tips for article submission. A free article select the directory site or newsletter articles and content. Search for articles and submit their own articles of free association. ArticlesBase a three-month Alexa traffic ranking is the Global 431. Visit the Web site's search engine called about 21% of the tax rate.

Steve,

This is exactly how I create content. I first write my blog post and publish it. Then share it in Facebook groups. After that I take the post and strip away any first person words used in the post, creating a generic article and submit to EzineArticles.com. Then I submit different versions of the article to other article directories, including Squidoo, HubPages, and Helium. These are some of my strategies for creating backlinks from high authority sites.

Thanks for this great post. I have retweeted it in my tribe.

Here I am writing a comment a couple of months into Google's Panda Update, with all other material in this post that I see preceding that change. Panda generally had the effect, among other things, of significantly devaluing article directory sites--and backlinks from them.

Compete shows even article-directory gorilla ezinearticles taking a nose dive the past couple of months (I don't see April 2011 on Compete yet). I have liked Buzzle as an article directory because of its popularity and strong upward growth in recent months, but Buzzle too has declined markedly since Panda.

At what new level article directories will land, nobody knows. No doubt many smaller sites will bottom at practically zero. So as of this writing, we are all watching and waiting. Meanwhile, there is still video marketing ...

And online searchers are here to stay, except in a sense for the masses who switch from desktop to mobile phone, with mobile phone searches projected to catch up to desktop searches in a couple of years!

Hi Steve,

I've been working on getting one of my lead capture pages ranked well on Google and have been using a lot of article marketing in this effort. You are absolutely right, backlinks from articles carry a great deal of weight in page rankings, and the articles themselves can drive targeted traffic.

I love your strategy of starting with a blog post and creating multiple articles pointing back to the blog post......great strategy!
