What is the snowball effect?
It’s what I refer to when your business has legs and you start to see the big picture right in front of your eyes. You think about it before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning.
I’ll give you a perfect example.
About 2 weeks ago, I started 3 different campaigns. 1 on craigslist for a mobile marketing offer I was testing and 2 on facebook for my consulting services.
All 3 campaigns were a success. I made some sales from craigslist, generated some leads on facebook and received a few requests for a free strategy session I was offering.
Everyday I was getting “new lead” notifications in my email inbox.
I was making sales.
The ball was rolling.
The snowball effect was in full swing!
I started thinking about scaling the traffic to generate even more leads and sales. I started thinking 90 days in the future and what this part of my business could look like after 90 days of focus and implementation. I started thinking about one of the last times I saw the snowball effect in my business and how it led to driving to the bank with a huge pile of checks to deposit.
Then, boom! It was gone.
I had some family things to attend to, stopped sending emails to my list, stopped 1 of my campaigns and the other 2 dwindled down to nothing since I had neglected them. The snowball effect was gone.
No traffic. No leads. No sales.
This is how important the snowball effect is to your business.
It’s also a mindset issue. If you have traffic and leads coming in everyday, you’re more likely to focus and put in the work than if you have nothing coming in at all.
Now look, it’s not the end of the world. I can setup the campaigns again and get the ball rolling again. That’s not problem.
The problem is I had a business for 2 weeks, had some momentum and then boom! It was gone. Don’t let this happen to you.
You won’t even believe what kind of business you can have if you keep the snowball effect going.
